  1. Get the right tent to keep you safe and sound

A good hiking tent is a must for any pregnant woman on a camping trip.  You already feel uncomfortable.  You don’t want to be worrying about mosquitoes and wild animals while you sleep.  Hiking tents are incredibly lightweight – which is perfect for pregnant women – and they are easy to set up.  These tents will also keep you nice and snug when it is cold out and will provide plenty of shade for a long nap time during the day. 1. Stock up on water

Stock up on plenty of bottled water.  Staying hydrated is important for your pregnancy and it is important to never drink contaminated water, especially when you are pregnant.

  1. Get a stretcher

If you can pick between an air mattress and a stretcher then go with the stretcher.  Air mattresses may seem soft and cozy but they aren’t supportive enough and have a tendency to deflate.  Stretchers give you plenty of back protection and are much more comfortable.

  1. Camp near a bathroom

A good bathroom is a must during pregnancy.  Going to the bathroom in the wild is hardly fun when you are already balancing a big bump.

  1. Work in those naps!

Your camping trip is the perfect time to catch up on some sleep.  Try to work on a daily nap in your schedule.

  1. Take along your cozy camping chair

Some camping chairs are incredibly cozy.  Get one of these inexpensive and comfortable camping chairs so you can snuggle up with a book or simply take a good rest whenever you need to.

  1. Stock up on bug spray

Take along your insect repellent and get insect repellent soap for bathing time so you won’t have to deal with itchy bite-marks.

  1. Go with easy meals

Easy meals are a must even if it means spending a bit more on your trip.  Look for meal ideas that don’t require a lot of dishes and is easy and quick to prepare so you can minimize your time in front of the cooking fire.

  1. Take along healthy snacks

Snacking is inevitable on a camping trip but you can snack and be healthy by taking along healthy alternatives like nuts, dried fruits, and veggie bites.

  1. Have fun

Don’t worry too much on your camping trip and have as much fun as you can.  Pretty soon you will have to care for a newborn which is going to be incredibly hard, yet rewarding work.
